This exciting new program offers local youth an opportunity to develop leadership and outdoor skills that will last a lifetime. From fly fishing, snorkeling, wilderness survival skills, canoeing, and hiking, they will find fun and adventure around every corner. Each day, camp will take place at a different Boone County Park, including Middle Creek Park, Boone Cliffs State Nature Preserve, and Gunpowder Creek Nature Park. A celebratory field trip (location TBD, transportation provided) is planned for the last day. Activities are staffed and led by Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified  naturalists and educators from the Boone County Parks Department and the Boone County Conservation District. Check out this video to catch a glimpse of what L.E.A.F! Academy looks like!

Prior outdoor experience is not necessary, but a willingness to try new things is required!

Lunch is not provided. A complete guide for how to prepare for L.E.A.F! Academy will be provided upon registration.
