Calling all students aged 13-15!

Join us for Leadership, Exploration, and Fun!

July 8-12, 2024

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day

Location: Different parks in Boone County each day!

Activities: Hiking, kayaking, fishing, stewardship projects, habitat data collection, snorkeling, and leadership challenges.

Fee: $150

This exciting new program offers local youth an opportunity to develop leadership and outdoor skills that will last a lifetime. From fly fishing, snorkeling, wilderness survival skills, kayaking, and hiking, they will find fun and adventure around every corner. Each day, the program will take place at a different Boone County Park, including Middle Creek Park, Boone Cliffs State Nature Preserve, and Gunpowder Creek Nature Park.  Activities are staffed and led by Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified  naturalists and educators from the Boone County Parks Department and the Boone County Conservation District. Prior outdoor experience is not necessary, but a willingness to try new things is required!

Lunch is not provided. A complete guide for how to prepare for L.E.A.F! Academy will be provided upon registration.
